Sounds like?

Nope, this not a recording of a goat.  But I know my goat sounds, and that really sounded like a goat.  I know, but, trust me, it’s not.

That recording, according to this article, is a simulation by an archaeologist at some Florida institution of higher learning (on a Casio CZ-101 I think) of what a Neanderthal might sound like if he/she said the English letter “e.”

Ah, the burning questions that drive scientific exploration.  I wonder what Ponce de Leon would have sounded like speaking Swahili through a synthesizer?  Or what Cleopatra might have sounded like having an orgasm in French (through a synthesizer, of course)?

This Florida archeologist is now working on synthesizing an entire Neanderthal sentence…if the Neanderthal spoke English…and was working on the latest Kanye beat.  I think he’s taking suggestions for what the sentence should be.  Any thoughts?
