The Western Meadowlark (Sturnella neglecta) is a medium-sized blackbird, very similar in appearance to the Eastern Meadowlark.  It is the state bird of Oregon, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Wyoming.

My great uncle, Ion Țuculescu, was an artist.
This is one of his totem paintings that he did towards the end of his life.  At this point I think he was claiming to hear voices in the walls of his house.
